life, faith, music, and miscellania along the great river road...
…Often when someone throws a rock at a dog rather than rushing at the person who threw the stone, the dog will run and bite the stone. We do the same thing. The tempter uses someone else to tempt us, either in word or deed, and rather than deal with the tempter who threw the stone, we bite the rock, our fellow man that the hater of the good used against us.

Despite the major road construction happening on East Genesee Street, St. Alphonsus Parish is bustling with life and energy. The church has strategically placed some very helpful signs to direct people to the entrances and parking that are accessible in the back of the building. The Parish Life Committee is sponsoring an October Apple Festival Sunday, Oct. 21. Part of the festival will include a crafters exhibit. Organizers are looking for crafters and vendors who are interested in purchasing a table for $25 to sell their goods. Contact Adelaide or Kim at the rectory at 252-7261 for more information.
